Measuring for floating café curtain rods

Here's how to get the perfect fit with our signature floating café curtain rods:
- Provide the full width of the rod you need - this includes the finials on each end.
- The finials sit on small hooks, as shown above. Make sure you have space to screw these hooks into a suitable surface - usually the outer frame, casing, or architrave.
- If you're fixing to a sliding sash window, plan to fix your rods to the casing outside the sliding portion.
- When measuring for a bay window, remember to leave a small, even gap between the rods in each corner, for a neat finish.
An ideal setup is illustrated below. As always, please get in touch with any questions.

Fitting instructions

To measure up, simply find the exact width of your recess.
We'll supply a finished rod that's ever-so-slightly shorter than your measurements.
This fitting allows for small adjustments, allowing you to make your finished rod up to ~0.3cm longer in situ. This helps guarantee a snug fit.
Tip: It's best to measure at the point you want to mount the rod. If you have a period property, you'll likely know that some walls can be uneven or sloping.
